Description

Soooo, here's another sketchdump! This time some AU material (with a whole backstory even, I get so invested in minor things, do I?) from some months ago 8} Here are the guidelines:

Alan and Fanny are the bold and the beautiful rulers of a very liberal fantasy Kingdom, and Ben is the Captain of Royal Guards. The spouses love each other above all, but don't mind having extra affairs with other men and women, and they even share their lovers. Ben gets soon involved into the royal menage and the three of them end up in a happy poly relationship... until Ben, in love with Alan, but often away on duty, gets irrationally jelous. He's confused and avoids the King's bedroom for a while, and Alan is way too sad about it. Fanny on the other hand, initially more than glad to share her husband with the Captain, is now pregnant and easily irritable. The frequent quarrels lead to a dramatic ending: the Queen dies from a miscarriage. Alan is devasted, and since Ben is away, he has none to turn to. So he relies on Dark Magic (very forbidden and very illicit) to try to get back his wife and the baby. The helpless court witnesses the King' slow descent into madness. He has now become a cruel, sadistic, powerful villain, and the Kingdom has fallen in disgrace. Plenty of innocents have been killed, famine and poverty rule the streets, while the Mad King (or the Dark Prince), castled in the tallest tower, conducts his demonic experiments (probably involving human sacrifices) and lives in complete solitude. Only a miracle can defeat the Mad King and save the people. Or, most likey, a Hero. In the meantime, Ben has finally come back in town after years of battles and survival... he may be the One?
Dark!Alan is BACK! And he got a new outfit and a SIDECUT!
Everyone has the same names, but fancier: Alan becomes Alainn, Fanny, Fannya and well, Ben is just Benjamin LOL. Also, everyone speaks some kind of weird gaelic.
Ben has GROWN A FULL BEARD!
Fanny is a mistress.
In the first panel of the comic, Alan and Fanny are basically asking Ben who's the hottest between them, and Ben tries to answer politely, but he's actually having a bisexual boner (still more on the gay side tho').
But really, everything's just a bigass metaphoric dark tale of the canon plot.
